2013 Tournament Schedule

The Southwestern Amateur Tournament is scheduled June 17 - 21. 

MONDAY, JUNE 17

Practice Round

Each player is provided with a practice round as part of the entry fee.  Cart fees are the responsibility of the player. Players are requested to schedule this round directly with the Renegade Golf Shop at (480)-488-1791.

Player Registration

All players are required to register at the onsite tournament office between noon and 4 p.m. Monday, June 17. Starting times for rounds 1 and 2 will be issued to all players during registration.  In addition, players will be provided with all tournament information, player gifts and SWGA policies applicable to the tournament.

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18-19

Round 1 and 2 Starting Times

Play will be divided between morning and afternoon waves for the play of rounds 1 and 2.  Morning wave will be from holes 1 and 10 between 7 a.m. and 8:50 a.m.  Afternoon wave starts from holes 1 and 10 between 11:50 a.m. and 1:40 p.m.  Players will start from hole 1 one day and hole 10 the other day.  Players starting in the morning wave one day will be in the afternoon wave the other day, and vice-versa.  Players will be provided lunch between 10:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. for rounds 1 and 2 and may select to eat prior to or following their rounds.

36-hole Cut

Players will be reduced to the lowest 60 scores and all ties after the completion of 36 holes. For those who miss the cut, playing access is available on Thursday and Friday on two of Desert Mountain's other Jack Nicklaus Signature Courses. 

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY, JUNE 20-21

Rounds 3 and 4 Starting Times

Round 3 and 4 starting times are scheduled in the morning wave only from the first and tenth tees.  Starting times will range from 7 a.m. to approximately 9 a.m. based on the number of players making the 36-hole cut. The field will be split equally for starting holes with the leaders after each round starting last from the first tee and the highest scoring players starting from the tenth tee in the last starting time.  Players in the middle will be the first players to start from each starting hole.

FRIDAY, JUNE 21

Awards Ceremony

All players are requested to attend the awards ceremonies on Friday, June 21, at approximately 2 p.m., immediately following play.  Championship awards, player prizes and 2014 Tournament Invitations will be awarded to those who qualify.
